Mary McBride and her band have released four albums, written dozens of songs, and performed with her band in more than 35 countries in the most unlikely places:


Prisons in Albania. Castles in Kosovo. Women’s colleges in Saudi Arabia. Homes for people with disabilities in Pakistan. Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow. Music schools for girls in Afghanistan. The Fais Do Do Stage at New Orleans JazzFest. On-screen and on the soundtrack of the Brokeback Mountain.  Elton John's 35th Anniversary Concert of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Hospices throughout Russia.  Liwa desert in the United Arab Emirates. Senior Centers in Taiwan. A public plaza in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. A yert community in Arkansas. The Baghdad Zoo. Homes for Veterans in Detroit. And on the infield of the Washington Nationals Park. These are just a few.


She founded The Forum for Cultural Engagement (FCE), The Home Tour, and most recently, Lead Out Louisiana, a music, songwriting and leadership program for incarcerated people serving sentences in correctional facilities in the United States

Mary has served as a Cultural Envoy for the U.S. Department of State under four Secretaries of State, and is a sought-after speaker on cultural exchange and the importance of bringing live music to isolated communities.


Her work has been featured on CNN, PBS and MSNBC, and in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, American Songwriter, and The Washington Post.
